Droning Landing pad for drone

Is anyone here uses landing pad for drones ? Or your this accessory useless ?

Personally I have one, but I don’t use it at all. Maybe couple of times in 4 years.

I bought one about seven years ago. Didn't use it even 5 times. 95% of the time it's handcatching and landing.

I use one on uneven surfaces, longer grass etc. It also serves to keep passers by a bit clear of the TOLA.

Used the very expensive Hoodman pads when I did my GVC course and whilst they're lovely they're also the best part of £100!

They handy if you fly bigger drone I would say. Most of the time I fly my mini 3 pro which can take off from hand, and my air 2s, usually from the roof of my car.

Them pads are handy if you do some jobs, looks a bit more professional (probably) .

Can you do that with your mavic drone?

Air 3s and even in the time my mavic pro. Doing it for 8 years now and never chopped my fingers.

How do you land such bigger drones on your hand? With my Mini 3pro, I just flip the drone and its stops itself. Tried this method with air 2s and dint work. You can imagine the results I got when I tried that
