I have a DJI mini 4K using a Samsung android and have around 6 hours of flight time. I live out in the country and this morning when I went to fly it traveled about 600-1000 from me at around 150 ft. elevation showing a good signal with no obstructions between my TO point and where it was at. I suddenly lost the all connection with it and pushed Return to Home button but it never came back. My crop is just seeded so it was easy to find it. It broke a blade and other wise no other damage. The power was off on the drone so I brought it back and cleaned it off and replaced the blade, tried it again and it quit flying and fell to the ground in the same area. Went to another location and it did the same thing at around 600-1000 feet away. Another drone pilot asked if my memory card was full and I said I never used one. So with my phone still connected to the controller he deleted all the pictures and videos that were taken with my permission and said that should take care of it. Well it did it twice more so what is going on? I await someone with a possible solution, Thankyou.

I put a memory card in it thinking that would fix and and I flew it 5 more times without a problem. I went back to the Take off spot next to my garage where it flew away and dropped out of the sky before and it did it again. I noticed on the flight departure line in front of me as it flies down the road and to the west that the Power Line is in direct line of sight as it leaves so it only has this problem of loss of control and crashing from this Take Off position and it drops to the ground every time within 100 feet each time a quarter of mile away. Has anyone ever experieinced loss of signal and crash around power lines?

Hi J John Webb . Is definitely nothing to do with your SD card. I also highly doubt that the power line will cause a drone to fall from the sky. Maybe your drone is damaged ? Have you tried to get in touch with DJI support?

I would call DJI support but I have a hard time understanding anyone with broken English. It seems pretty common anymore. They all have the same common name such as George, Robert, or Michael but I think they are talking from the southern jungles of the Phillippinnes. But I will try it again

Just chat with via their official website. To me looks like your drone is somehow damaged.Do you have DJI Care? I've heard if your drone is broken and you send It away to them , they'll just send you brand new drone. I haven't tried myself as I have never purchased DJI Care.

It is still an interesting problem but will call DJI for help today. Yesterday I found that it will lose the signal while in sight about 200 yds from the RTH spot but if I get on a 4 wheeler and move along behind it as it leaves it will continue to fly. I can go into a field and fly all day and have it fly over a half mile from where the controller is and did this thru 2 batteries yesterday with no problem. The only time it has a problem is when I try to control it from the point of Take Off with the controller. Move the controller to any other position and it works perfectly. I can even Take Off and hover over that spot, go to the loss of control area and continue to fly it to me with no problem. That is weird.

There’s definitely something wrong with the drone if you loose the signal in about 200 yards. Assuming you don’t over fall buildings or anything that will interfere with the drone signal.

Have you updated the drone ?
