What do you prefer more shooting , videos or images ?

Personally I like shooting more images than videos because seems easier and I love photography.

While I still learn video editing, I would say focusing on videos is priority for me now.

I like both but I prefer stills as I'm focused more on capturing book covers for Arcangel.

Love capturing panoramas with 24 images, although they don't sell that often!

I love to take 360 panoramas. Itā€™s just fun to watch. But yes, these doesnā€™t sell much.

I believe it makes sense to focus more on taking videos instead of images.

New to the drone world, but will be taking more images than videos, I do a lot of street photography so this will just be another strin to my bow, hopefully!!

Well, I do street photography too. But agree, drones gives a new perspective to photography.

What drone are you using ?

Just got myself a Mini 4 pro, if I really get in to it then will look at others later on, but for now just learning the basics.

Not easy learning to fly on your own, but as yet not found anyone local to fly with and to learn from.

You have great drone. Iā€™m sure youā€™ll enjoy it. Stick to it for now, as is a little beast, not many restrictions, very quiet drone, and does provide with good image quality.

I own couple, but donā€™t fly them all often unfortunately. Most of the times only mini 3 pro.

Donā€™t forget to share some work youā€™ve done with the drone.

Iā€™m sure there must be other drone pilots around your area.

I know of one other pilot around here, but he likes to fly alone, so I will keep on looking; in the meantime, I'm spending a lot of time in the local area just getting the hang of the drone and understanding how it works.

Feel free to ask here on community any questions you might have. I would be more than happy to help.

Sadly you not living in Yorkshire. Wouldnā€™t mind to fly with someone

As a professional photographer I srtongly object to the assumtion that stills are easier. the constant change in videos is way more forgiving than letting the Viewer focus on all the details of one single image. Also images need to activate the viewers imagination, while videos take away that need of active participation in favor of pure consumtion. And thats actually damn hard to achieve.

Agreed. Shooting we can have a lot more to work especially if shooting for many minutes. More difficult with stills and frustrating when images come back blurry even with higher shutter speeds when shooting in strong wind

So you are saying stills are much better to produce instead of videos? I would probably add that depends what kind of art we are talking about .

If we are talking about paint arts, I would say you right. Not sure about quick snapshots.

ya, and nowadays there is so much automation. For the more conventional location shots I use waypoints a lot. Makes it a breeze and your are done in a matter of minutes.
