You just need a new angle. What's your niche?

I was doing wedding, portraits mostly outdoors. But nowadays everyone has fancy phones and don’t care about getting a photographer. Unless is really cheap.

At the moment I focus on stock, YouTube channel and want to get into videography.

Nice collection. I used to make wedding favors years ago and soured to the Bridezilla scenario. It pays well when you get a large wedding but fighting the cell phone users that get in the way is annoying. I chose to work with business owners and corporations on their special events. I still fight the do-it your selfer employees that think they can do a good job with their phones and cheaper equipment but it's less of a fight because people are generally lazy at work. Along with that you get staff photography and marketing of videos. It's a choice I made a while ago. It frees up your weekends. Slighlty smaller fees than a wedding but steady.

Thanks. From what I’ve seen, the market in US is way bigger than here in UK, and you have more clients there too. While here most people tend to save on photographer.

Still want to upgrade my camera to R6M2 from 7DM2. And hopefully to get into video more. I believe the photography is now pretty dead, at least here in UK. Too many photographers walking around with expensive kit.

So you don’t do that anymore ? Weddings and photo services.
I do mainly corporate events. and photo services. I have a studio. My business does marketing, websites, videos, portraits, staff shoots, I am doing a business event tonight. Mostly dinners and fundraisers for events. I shoot photography and videos for my customers websites and I do their online marketing.

Wish I could live in US, seems there is a bigger market for my skills than here in UK. I do have experience with digital world. But sometime I think matters who you know too.
