Are people still learning photography ? I always thought that this art is something you can learn yourself. Especially with the amount on information that can be found free on the internet.
I do a class on taking your camera off automatic. That always gets people. Lightroom photo editing, The Drone flight class walks them through getting their trust sertificates, I put them on a drone simulator along with rtheir first flights and basic photography and video, and for advances photographers we do a semester with 3 or 4 genres of their choice like landscapes, long exposure, macro photography, models etc. There are less tha there used to be. We get many middle aged people where technology doesn't come easy.

For older people everything you mentioned above could be hard. Drones gives different perspectives to photography.

I get classes every semester from art students, housewives, middle aged men looking to further their hobby and young people who want to do something productive. Many people learn on line but never quire get the hang of it. They need to be shown. Everyone learns differently. Some ready others watch videos. Yet others want one on one help. they are more difficult to teach but they're out there.

I do agree . To learn something, you need to practice most of time.

That’s basically how I’ve learned everything, from creating website to photography. But again, it’s most costly and time consuming when you do it yourself than studying in a class.

But again people are different, as you said and have different learning levels.

You don't need all of them. Just the ones that resonate with what you do.
